NutriLayer™ is the barrier platform. It supports the outer layers of skin and scalp in holding water, keeping their lipid balance and protecting against the environment.
It also supports the exchange of nutrients between the deeper layers and the surface, which the barrier needs to recover.

How the platforms work together
Each platform signals to the next
The four platforms are linked. A change in one platform affects the next, and the cycle returns to the barrier. This is why B.LAB rituals follow a set order of stages.
- NutriLayer™ NeuroBiome™
When the barrier is disrupted, skin cells release messenger proteins that act on immune cells and nerve endings. Nerve signals in turn affect blood vessels, inflammation and oil-gland activity.
- NeuroBiome™ AgeBiome™
Persistent neuroimmune activity increases oxidative stress and speeds up cell ageing.
- AgeBiome™ ChronoLift™
Aged fibroblasts make less collagen and elastin and more of the enzymes that break the matrix down, weakening skin structure.
- ChronoLift™ NutriLayer™
When the dermal structure weakens, nutrient exchange with the upper layers slows, and the barrier recovers more slowly.
